TEQUILA!!!

Did I get your attention? I know I haven't blogged in awhile! There's a lot going on here-new baby due in 6 weeks, feeling really pregnant, looking at school books for next year, wrangling three kiddos, life. So, I'll try to make up a little bit here with a funny story from the other night.

Aaron and I have this cheap "date" thing that we've been doing for a few years. Sometimes after church on Sunday nights we'll go and get cheese dip from Senor Tequila's and take it home, put the kids to bed, and veg out on cheese dip and conversation. It's simple, but I like it. Senor T's has the BEST cheese dip ever! It used to be that we'd get everyone settled in time to watch "The Practice," now there's nothing good on Sunday night's, but the cheese dip has remained, and the convo.'s better anyway!

So, we are there last week, and Aaron has gone inside to get the goods while I'm waiting in the van with the kids, and I ask the kids, "So, what do you think we should name this new baby?" After a moment of contemplation DS-5 replies "how about Senor Tequila!" and DD-3 suggests Rosita. I'll have to get back to them on that. I have no idea where Rosita came from. She said she had a baby doll named that the other day!

This strikes up another topic with DS. I've discovered that once your child can read, you have to explain a lot more!
DS: What's Senor mean
Me: In Spanish it means like sir or mister.
DS: Oh..... What's tequila mean?
Me: Um.... Um..... It means Ummm...... It's a Mexican drink.
DS: Oh. (oblivious to my stammering) This restaurant is called Mister Mexican Drink?!
(I hope I do better with the sex questions!)

Since we're on the Mexican theme:

A few months ago we were on our way to church and DS says "Let's drive to Mexico!" So, I tell him that it's really too far away for us to drive there and he says "Oh... I wish I was a Mexican boy."

And then:
A few nights ago, he was playing delivery boy or something. He had a cap and a tie on and was carrying a clipboard. Aaron says to him "Hey Aaron Job" to which he replies:

"No, I'm not Aaron Job today, my name is Carlos."

What? Carlos? I know no Carlos!? My poor pale face blonde headed boy will never, ever come close to looking Mexican. I must have eaten too much Mexican food while pregnant with him!

Aww your kiddos are marvelous. At least they are being creative with Alphabetina's name. So are you keeping the name a surprise from them too? Oh and on that note I thought the idea of the baby being a surprise was for the parents to not know but you are keeping us in suspense.

They (kids)don't even know the name! There's no way they could keep it a secret. At least Abby couldn't!
